Board of Massage Therapy Launches New Website

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Massage Therapy has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication, enhance transparency and increase accessibility to web services. The website was redesigned to provide better customer service and encourage public feedback.

The Board of Massage Therapy website features a number of valuable resources for licensed massage therapists, licensed massage establishments, massage apprentices, colonic irrigation apprentices, massage therapy schools and consumers. The website also simplifies the process of applying for, renewing or verifying a license. There is also information explaining how to file a complaint.

It is important that those seeking information from or about the Florida Board of Massage Therapy are able to do so with minimal effort and in the least amount of time. Navigation through our new website is easy and fast,” said Chairman Karen Goff Ford, MS, LMT. “All the information is clearly laid out for visitors to find exactly the information they seek. We are excited about this new change that will assist applicants, licensees and the public in obtaining the information they need.”

The Board of Massage Therapy’s new website is the newest of six health care profession websites to be redesigned. Other boards that have launched new websites are the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Optometry.
